Business Setup

Mainland Company Formation

Trade anywhere in the UAE with a mainland licence.

A mainland company is licensed by the local economic department, such as Dubai Economy and Tourism. It lets you contract with government and private clients across the UAE, open a local office, and sponsor employees. White Square handles name reservation, licensing, local sponsorship where required, and the establishment card.

What you get

  • Trade across the UAE, not only inside a free zone
  • Eligible for government tenders and local contracts
  • Visa quota linked to your office and activity
  • Most activities now allow 100% foreign ownership

Process

  1. 1

    Choose activity and legal form

We confirm the correct commercial, professional, or industrial activity and the right legal structure for your plans.

  2. 2

Reserve the trade name and submit documents

We reserve the name, prepare the memorandum, and file the application with the economic department.

  3. 3

Collect the licence and establishment card

After approval we collect the trade licence, register the establishment card, and prepare visa quota.

Documents we usually need

  • Passport copies of shareholders and the manager
  • UAE entry stamp or residence copy, if available
  • Proposed trade name and business activity
  • Tenancy contract or Ejari after office selection

Questions

Can a foreigner own a mainland company?

Yes. Most mainland activities allow 100% foreign ownership. A small number of activities still need a local service agent or special approval. We confirm this before you apply.

How long does mainland setup take?

Straightforward files are often completed in about 5 to 10 working days after documents and office arrangements are ready. External approvals can add time.
