Company documents prepared for licensing

Business Setup

Company Liquidation

Close a mainland, free zone, or offshore company in order.

Closing a UAE company requires a formal liquidation: cancel visas, clear labour and immigration files, settle dues, and submit the cancellation to the licensing authority. We coordinate the notices, clearances, and final licence cancellation so the file does not stay open with penalties.

What you get

  • Visa and labour file cancellation in the right order
  • Support with newspaper notices where required
  • Clearance from immigration, MOHRE, and the licensing authority
  • Lower risk of leftover fines on shareholders

Process

  1. 1

    Review the company file

We check active visas, establishment cards, leases, and outstanding government dues.

  2. 2

    Cancel visas and obtain clearances

Employees and partners are cancelled, then labour and immigration clearances are collected.

  3. 3

    Submit licence cancellation

The authority issues the liquidation or cancellation certificate once all dues are cleared.

Documents we usually need

  • Trade licence and establishment card
  • Shareholder passports and Emirates IDs
  • Memorandum or share certificates
  • Lease cancellation or landlord NOC if an office exists

Questions

Can I cancel a licence while visas are still active?

No. Active visas and the establishment card must be cancelled first. Starting cancellation too early usually delays the file.

How long does liquidation take?

Simple free zone closures can finish in a few weeks. Mainland files with visas, leases, and labour dues often take longer.
